I’m sharing a passage from one of my most treasured books, The Standing Stones Speak¹. Although this book was channeled over 25 years ago, I return to the wisdom it contains again and again. Last year I realized that for some strange reason, I had never read the last chapter! When I finally read “A Glimpse of the Future” it became clear - this is about NOW. There’s no relief from the chaos and intensity anytime soon. Our job is to hold the light - and the line - and integrate these new energies.

From that last chapter:

“Past patterns of dominance and subservience have persuaded you to relinquish your power to those with a stronger will, and this makes you extremely vulnerable to anyone with a powerful charisma but no integrity. Such a person will be appearing on the world scene and will fully test your ability to be discerning.

As a charismatic leader, a friend to all, saying what many wounded hearts wish to hear, this impressive personality will have a great influence for a time, but eventually will prove false. We warn you to be on your guard; remember that the heart, which is in tune with the Christ consciousness, will remain in the light and be unaffected.

In past incarnations danger has often arisen from speaking your own truth which has led to persecution and suffering. This time the danger lies in failing to speak your own truth, and as a  consequence being unable to live it. Any reluctance to be yourself has to be overcome.

Since this charismatic being will seem to shine in the eyes of many, there will be a tendency for individuality to be lost as many are caught up in the mass vision of a false utopia. This powerful leader, exerting influence over large areas of Europe and North America, will be using other people's psychic energy to support personal ambition.

There may be a general belief that this is the Savior whom many are expecting, since people still look outside themselves for leadership. The true second coming will occur within the human heart and the conscious mind at the birthing of a new era. Those who are seduced by the charisma of this person will appear to others as though they are blindfolded, unable to see the truth. There will be a certain parting of the ways and it will be a time of testing for all of you, but since learning discernment is part of the soul’s path, it will be an interesting time also.

From the time of the emergence of this false prophet, there will be a very short period - possibly no more than a few years - before the final dissolution of your religious and political institutions in their present form. This will be a time of great confusion as the light and dark are weighed against each other. There will be a cleansing in preparation for a vision of a future in which spiritual truth is honored once more; but you will be living very much in the moment, with little opportunity to think about it or plan for it.

As you become free from karmic pressures, truth will be expressed spontaneously as love and integrity. Those who still retain unworthy attitudes will remain under the sway of their lower emotions and will have no access to wisdom, but they will no longer be in the majority. The false messiah will depart; there will be a further weakening of the organizations that shape and limit your present social structures before the human race can enter the long-predicted era of peace.

As an individual, the way in which each of you live your life has always made a difference to the whole, and it will continue to do so. Learn to listen; it is vital, and yet so many of you have lost the art of inner listening. There must always be a space for inner silence, the dreamtime, the quiet attunement to nature and the other realms of being. In this inner communion you can refuel yourself, drawing in the spiritual sustenance that in full consciousness you cannot live without.”

Take care of your nervous system as we enter a revolutionary year, personally and collectively. Use all the tools and techniques you have – find new ones! We always have our breath, our feet to ground, water to cleanse and stillness to settle.
